Proven leader in warehouse management powers up to tap growing demand for on-demand solutions
Chatsworth, CA - April 2, 2009 - ASP Global Services (ASPGS) announces the promotion of Mike Mullane to Chief Executive Officer. With this appointment, ASPGS strengthens its senior management team and further solidifies the company as a leading provider of on-demand warehouse management solutions to third-party logistics providers (3PL).
As Chief Executive Officer, Mullane will work directly with ASPGS Founder and Chairman Stan Stein in setting the strategic direction of the company and leading new business initiatives. He will be responsible for spearheading ASPGS' continual growth in customer base, driving product development, establishing key partnerships, and overseeing the overall financial health of the company.
“ASP Global Services is seeing a sustained and vibrant interest in on-demand solutions,” comments Stein. “This executive change is intended to focus more energy and creativity on industry relationships and on-target product enhancements so we can continue to meet expectations for delivering best-in-class solutions. As Vice President of Operations, he was instrumental in quickly growing and strategically shaping ASPGS to become a proven leader in the rapidly emerging Software-as-a-Service market for order, inventory, and warehouse management solutions. Mike is exactly what we need at this time. His broad-based experience in applying technology in world-wide supply chain management is a key asset for ASPGS, and his previous experience in leading fast growth entrepreneurial companies is critical to our growth strategy.”
Mullane states, “With the recent challenges in the global economy we are witnessing an acceleration in the demand for on-demand solutions. Companies are unwilling or unable to assume the high costs and risk associated with traditional enterprise-class software applications. As a result, we are experiencing a dynamic market where it is critically important for ASPGS to demonstrate a strong strategic direction, and that includes both a focused product direction and the formation of key partnerships.”
“The partnerships we are working on today have one thing in common – they all bring tremendous new value to our customers while clearly differentiating us from other companies,” continues Mullane. “Further, product management must have sharp focus on transforming the experiences of customers and the desires of prospects into actionable product plans. We offer a simplicity and service level that you won't find with other providers and excel on quality and value. I am committed to taking ASPGS to the next level as we introduce new products and provide exceptional customer support to serve this growing demand.”
Mullane joined ASPGS in April 2006 as Vice President of Operations, responsible for product development, professional services, and customer support. Prior to ASPGS, Mullane held senior positions with Level 3 Communications, Compuware, Sprint, and Netigy; and provided consulting services to some of the world’s most dynamic companies, including Hewlett Packard, Electronic Data Systems, Qwest Communications, Echo Star, Comcast, CSC, British Telecom, and Bank of America.
